You know i never miss a chance to Show-off the best of Africa and all the mind-blowing, ground-breaking talents it births. Ruth is African by birth, she was born of an Ethiopian father, Late Dr. Negga and an Irish mother Norra Negga. Born on May 4, 1982, Ruth is a Native of Addis Ababa, the largest City in Ethiopia. Sadly, Ruth only lived in Ethiopia for 4 years, before relocating to Ireland at the tender age of 4, where she lived in Limerick, Ireland until 2006 when she relocated finally to London. #Africatotheworld.
2. SHE LANDED HER FIRST MOVIE ROLE PLAYING AN IMMIGRANT AFRICAN SEX- WORKER.
Ruth made her official movie debut in the 2004 Irish Movie, Capital Letters (Trafficked) playing a beautiful Immigrant African Lady Taiwo, who was smuggled into Dublin for the intentions of Prostituting. These days, Ruth can brag about playing more prestigious roles and working with some of the finest Producers in Hollywood on some renowned TV Productions like Marvel's Agent of Shield, Warcraft, World War Z (bet you dont remember her there😈) and most recently the Golden-Globe nominated Loving.
3. RUTH NEGGA GOT CUT FROM 12-YEARS A SLAVE.
Ruth was part of the Original Cast of the 2013 Award-winning movie 12 Years a Slave. The reason you never saw or heard anything about her being on the movie, was simply because her scenes got cut after filming in a Crocodile Swamp for three days. Ouch! Ruth Never made it to the Big Screens and she never got to celebrate enough with her cast members during their big Oscar moment.
Although she didnt make the cut, the movie gave us another break-through African Star in the person of Lupita Nyong'o, who went on to win her first Oscar for her defying role as a tortured slave. Fast forward to 4-years later and Ruth is having her moment in the spot light alone! Her mesmerizing role in the Interracial Love story, Loving, has landed her multiple nominations and a break-thorough spotlight in Entertainment. Talking about timing being key! Now all that's left for Ruth is that golden statue.
4. SHE IS ABOUT TO BECOME THE MOST TALKED ABOUT HOLLYWOOD RED CARPET FASHIONISTA IN 2017.
One of the most refreshing things about the 34-year-old is her amazing sense of style. I absolutely love it! Following her multiple Award Nominations this season, she is nominated for about 16 Awards, huge! Expect to see Ruth everywhere you turn. Thankfully, she is already living up to her roles as the Newest A-list Fashionista on the block. She attended the Palms Spring Film Festival, looking ravishing in a sheer plunge-neckline Valentino number as see above and my absolute favorite sighting of the actress lately, is in this gorgeous floral print bell-sleeved bloused which she tucked perfectly in an embroidered pencil skirt, anchored by some silver Louboutin heels. Dare i not acknowledge her fierce pixie, i think she is beyond prepared for the Red Carpet and all the glory that comes with it.
5. SHE IS FORTH BIGGEST AFRICAN ACTRESS TO LAND A VOGUE COVER.
Oh yes, she is Voguing it already! Success is sweet and is definitely meant to be celebrated. Even if it means landing on the Cover of one of the worlds biggest Magazine publication. Ruth is the Magazine's January Cover Star, she poses looking pretty in a bright floral cut-out, cold shoulder number. Just like other successful African Actresses before her, Ruth Joins the likes of South Africa's Theron, Supermodel Liya Kedebe, Lupita Nyong'o who all got featured on the Magazine at some point in their rising moments. On behalf of Africa, i say way to go girl!

Bet most of you didnt know this too. In the 2014, PlayStation 3 Video Game Dark Souls II, Ruth Voices the games Character of Shanalotte, after which she went on to be nominated as the Best Female Lead Vocal Performance in a Video Game for her performance. That was not her first Video game performance, in 2011, she featured on El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron voicing the character of Ishtar. She might not exactly be a gamer but who would pass up an opportunity to actually kick ass as yourself in a video game, not me!
7. RUTH NEGGA HAS BEEN WITH THE SAME MAN FOR 6 YEARS.
She is hot on the radar's for her performance in the movie Loving so its only normal we talk about her Love life. For those who didnt know and for those wishing on Star literally, she is taken! So taken her relationship with fellow actor and co-star Dominic Cooper (on the series Preacher) has lasted for over half a decade, 6 years to be precise and they currently live in London Together. #Noroomforyou
