Ruth was part of the Original Cast of the 2013 Award-winning movie 12 Years a Slave. The reason you never saw or heard anything about her being on the movie, was simply because her scenes got cut after filming in a Crocodile Swamp for three days. Ouch! Ruth Never made it to the Big Screens and she never got to celebrate enough with her cast members during their big Oscar moment.

Although she didnt make the cut, the movie gave us another break-through African Star in the person of Lupita Nyong'o, who went on to win her first Oscar for her defying role as a tortured slave.
