If there is one thing i love about Lupita Nyong'o, it definitely would be her ability to embody a character and make it hers. She continued with her red carpet domination as she stepped out in style to attend the British Film Institute premiere of her new movie, The Queen of Katwe. From her bright and bold outfit choices, to her electric blue liner and her African Inspired head-wrap aka Gele as we African's will often call it....See more of her look and outfit details after the cut.

Lupita's recent Vogue Interview, describes the actress as relentless in her pursuit for authenticity. I personally couldn't agree more with the magazine. The African-Hollywood superstar has continued to shine since she came to the limelight back in 2013, for her role in the celebrated movie "12 Years a Slave". The movie and her well acted role as a slave, earned Lupita an Oscar and immediately catapulted her to the A-list rank and one of Hollywood's most sought after actresses. Ever since then, Lupita hasn't settled for less or filtered her originality. In her recent Movie, Queen of Katawe, Lupita plays a an uneducated girl from the slums of Uganda, who rises to become the chess champion of her country and an international chess master. I think this might be her most talked about movie hit for a while and i'm optimistic she's getting a gold statue for this one.

Since the movie's release, Lupita has continued to stare-up the tabloids and turn heads on and off the red carpet, with a series of Fashionable African-inspired outfits. At first, many were confused on what to say or what direction to lean on, when describing Lupita's looks but i think now, everyone is applauding her because they see how unapologetic and confident she is in channeling her inner African Queen. In her Vogue interview ( i will leave the link down below) she says "I want to create an opportunity for people of color"... what could be better than the beautiful and passionate actress using her platform to empower others. From rocking outfits from designers all across the globe, to shinning more light on Africa as a continent and speaking for races and women of color all across the world, i say Lupita is a superstar and the best for her is yet to come.

For the London Premiere of The Queen of Katwe, Lupita shined on the red carpet wearing a multi-colored bralet top and a bright blue High-waist turn-up trousers from NewYork designer Rosie Assoulin's Resort 2017 Collection.

The collection will officially be available in stores from November/December 2016 but you can go ahead and see all of it here

she was joined on the red carpet by co-star Nigerian-British Actor who looked dapper in a green textured three-piece suit and some shinny patent black shoes.

Because sometimes, we ladies need an extra lift! The 5"5 ebony beauty anchored her outfit with some emerald platform heels.

She ditched the neck jewelry for some bright blue circle-detail dangling earrings which complemented her head-wrap and the rest of her look.

Also with the stars on the red carpet, the movie director Mira Nair, who looked stunning in a black ensemble. Lupita tells Vogue Magazine "Five pages in I wrote my manager and agent with the words ‘I must do this film", even though she was originally cast to play the mother of Phiona Mutesi, the champions mother.

Lupita looks amazing and she is fastly becoming one of the most influential black actresses in Hollywood. What do you think of her recent African Inspired outfit and of this Rosie Assoulin ensemble, do you like? Feel free to leave your thoughts below.
