Its the 2016 Hip Hop Honors brought to you by VH1. An annual award show celebrating Rap and Hip Hop and all its legends. NYC was turnt (i had to) last night, as all of Hollywood "flyest" superstars converged on the pink carpet in their best designer clothing before hitting the Award show proper. Here is a quick look at what they wore and read my two cents; i'm feeling very Simon Cowell-ish tonight.

Amber Rose hit the pink carpet looking very stunning and on point in a classic long-sleeve LBD, cant go wrong with an LB. She paired her outfit with some matching black court shoes and black reflective shades. I'm more interested in how flawless her haircut looks. What a bombshell!.

She is an ebony Goddess after all. Kelly Rowland looked predictably stunning in a black mini figure-hugging Elie Youssef dress, Stuart Weitzman shoes, and a Giuseppe Zanotti clutch. Slay!

Vashtie is always a stunner. She showed off her form in a black sheer Laquan Smith number.

Ashanti reminded us why we loved her then and still now. She was stunning!!! in a grey sequenced jumpsuit paired with some black sandals. How pretty does she look? Her make up and hair is flawless too.

Model Chanel Iman was also in attendance at the Awards, she hit the carpet showing off her sexy midriffs in a Are You Am I black long-sleeve cut-out crop top, white Barbara Bui pants, and Stuart Weitzman sandals.

Rapper Eve had one of my best looks for the night. For the occasion she slipped into a sheer long-sleeve see through gold stripe dress by designer  Michael Halpern.

There were no words to describe how happy i was to see Keke Palmer on the carpet. She has the most improved look for the month, no kidding. She was a breath of fresh air in this floor-lenght gold embellished thigh-high slit number by Baja-East. Thank you Keke for hoping back on your slay train. she paired her outfit with some silver jewels. nice!

Also one f my very best looks from the night, Keysha Cole. The R&B Singer was a golden goddes in this white and gold embellished lace feathery number which she paired with some shinny gold Giuseppe Zanotti heels. Smoking!

Lala Athony never disappoints. She made her first appearance via the gram where she showed off her black Versace mini dress paired with some black suede Tom Ford shoes.

Lil Kim was one of the Honorary Award recipients of the night but didn't quiet cut it for me on the red carpet. I never know what to expect from here these days...She hit the carpet in all black. She paired her Velvet blazer dress with some over-the-knee boots and a white chanel layered pearl necklace.

Missy Elliot is always Hip-pop ready. The rapper hit the carpet showing off her hip style as usual. She is also rocking her signature one-side bob.

It was nice seeing Nelly Furtado on the carpet after a while. The songbird hit the carpet in a burgundy one hand dress and some 80's inspired low-heeled shoes. I dont know about those shoes but i love me some Nelly Furtado.

Old Hip Hop maestro and new daddy! Ice T made an appearance with wife Coco who looked bright and bubbly in this patterned halter dress.

I Know Remy Ma was going for the Hip Pop look but i'm not feeling it at all. The rapper hit the pink carpet in a red leather ensemble which matched her Buscemi leather sneakers.

I dont know if Lil' Mama's lip gloss is till popping but the rapper hit the scene posing extra sexy for the camera in a strapless black dress and black boots, accessorizing with a blinging choker.

Fashion is when your outfit does the talking for you. Dej Loaf posed for the cam while her outfit did the talking. Boss!

Mean mugging! Fat Joe was also on the scene, she stayed on trend by adding a splash of color to an all-white look with a floral-printed bomber jacket.

This is her thing. Dressing up for Hip Pop should be a walk in the park for Da Brat. The rapper looked right at home in loose-fitting athletic separates and shiny silver sneakers.

Monica was also in attendance. Looking lovely in black, the R&B crooner donned a Rebecca Vallance suit with Saint Laurent pumps, adding a ’90s vibe with a Lace by Tanaya choker.

I'm not sure what Fantasia was going for with this blazer dress look because it looks pretty ill-fitted from where i stand (and i'm standing right in front of it). Anyways, the singer posed for pictures on the pink carpet in her  Mugler Embellished leather-trimmed crepe mini dress and Giuseppe Zanotti Silver Harmony Sandals.

I loved how Orange is the New Black's Dascha Polanco looked at the awards in her see-through jumpsuit paired with an ivory floor-sweeping sleeveless jacket. Such a babe.

From one OITNB star to another, Lea Delaria showed off her skull and crossbones designed jacket while in a comfy T-shirt, slacks and some slip-on sneakers.

Queen Latifah  looked sophisticated and stunning in this draped black gown with cape-like sleeves by designer Michael Costello.

I know Teyana Taylor was channeling her inner Lil Kim but she looked a mess. Lil Kim doesn't even want to look this way again, hence her changes (oops!). I hope she gets rid of the neon yellow wig after the show. On the other hand, Iman Shumpert looked extra-trendy in a patterned jacket, gray pants, and black sneakers.

Reality star  Cardi B was also in attendance. For the award show, she wore one of her favorite designers, These Pink Lips, anchored by some pep-toe platform shoes. Even for a Hip Pop Award Show, Cardi looks a little Extra!

Winnie Harlow has been out and about lately. The model wore a Fausto Puglisi mini with the brand’s thigh high buckled sandals.

I must confess i didn't expect to see as much Amazing looks like i did. I thought the theme would be Hip Pop strictly so i imagine a lot more Da Brat style than sequenced catsuits and St Laurens. Over all, i think all the celebrities brought out their A-game. Every red carpet has its casualties but over all i think it was a fashionable red carpet.

Who had your best and worst look? I'll d love to hear from you.
