Its the 2016 YOU spectacular Awards, and it is going down right about now at the Emperor's Palace Convention Center, All the who's who in South African Fashion, Music and Entertainment scenes are about to come out dressed in their most fashionable outfits. Who will rule the red carpet tonight and what would they be wearing?. From Bonang to Dineo to Boity and many more fashion queens, its a night of multiple expectations. So, i think right about now, i should save the chit chat for later. Lets get down to the scene and keep up with some red carpet African Magic.

Red carpet Queen Bonang Matheba hit the scene like the queen she is, sporting a white long cape nude and silver embellished dress, she officially set the bars high.

Saying i'm surprised by Bonang Matheba's style or red carpet choices would be a lie. She is always one to look out for and i can always almost predict that with her, i expect a flawless finish. Her dress is by her favorite South African designer Gert-Johan Coetzee.

I have been waiting patiently for Boity to arrive. The actress never disappoints, she hit the scene looking stunning in a mari-gold sheer velvet cut-out short-sleeve mermaid train dress by designers Quiteria and George.

Dineo Moeketsi exceeded my very high expectations of her. In the most enviable plunge-neckline purple thigh-baring long-sleeve embellished peplum dress (catches breath) she set the red carpet ablaze. Stunning on all counts, from her hair to her shoes and her make up, not even a single flaw. By milestones, one of the best dressed ladies here tonight.

Amanda Du Pont's baby pink mermaid-train dress and Ostrich fur coat by designer Anel Bothac is definitely a best dressed nominee look for tonight's event. So chic and elegant! This ladies are off to a great start.

Thando Thebete is here for the slay! The actresses body-hugging red velvet gold embellished neckline cut-out dress are also by the phenomenal designers Quiteria George. She  is giving me so much life right now with that pose, Slay!!!

Leannie Dlamini was angelic in a white lace crop-top and a matching white flowy skirt. Another design by Anel Bothac, who seems to be the designer of the night.

South African actress Nomzamo Mbatha opted for a plunge-neckline sliver sequence embellished long-sleeve mermaid-train dress and some matching silver jewelry by designer by Warrick Gautier.

Katlego Ncala Azania posed on the famous step's and showed-off her nude and gold embellished dress.

Nominated in the sexiest lady category, Minnie Dlamini hit the red carpet looking hot in a gold and black long-sleeve number anchored by some tie-up sandals. I expected a lot more from Minnie tonight but i guess this was an okay look.

Rapper Aka Worldwide was dapper in all black. His suit is by South African Fashion House, Tiger Of Sweden.

Sequence and a train were in order for Thembi Seete's gold embellished sheer neckline number. Her gorgeous gown is by South African designer Sello Medupe. She also made a very fashionable statement rocking her white fur purse. Steal!!!

Miss Earth Aouth-Africa Ilze Saunders was clad in a gold dress by designer Anel Bothac. Another dress from the designer. This must have been a busy event for her.
Vanessa Carreira-Coutroulis sizzled in a black sequence plunge neck-line long-sleeve number by designer Galluzzie Gini.

Shashi Naidoo was the lady in red! sporting a red dress by  ORLY's Sandton City.

Former beauty Queen Melind Abam was also on the scene. She looked fashionable in a white full fringe number by Anel Bothac. The designer ruled this years You Spec., everyone of her designs so far, has been a hit.

Pamela Madlala sizzled in a gold embellished long sleeve number.

Anel Bothac was also on deck for actress Stevie French who kept things simple in a lace crop-top and some flare pants. Okay Anel this show is yours.

Thapelo Mokoena was also on the scene with his wife.

a shimmery champagne number was on deck for ebony beauty Jessica Nkosi, Her dress is so gorgeous.

Miss World South Africa Candice Abraham showed off s back view of her lace embroidered Anel Bothac number. Really Anel! you are just going to get away with blazing up the red carpet with this looks.

Katlego Maboe kept it clean and crisp in a burgundy suit and some shinny patent shoes.

Amanda Du Pont gives us a better look at her gorgeous pink dress by Anel Bothaac. So beautiful!

Bucie Nqwiliso's grey and white jacket over her matching color tulle mermaid-train was simply stunning! Her jacket is everything! Designed by Matome Waga Seshoka of Antherline designs.

South African actress Nomzamo Mbatha worked her beautiful Warrick Gauthier silver sequence embellished dress and her south african booty lol... across the stage.

Just because Less is a bore and every red carpet needs some drama. Zuraida Jardine gave us something to ponder on before hitting the red carpet. Her silver metallic dress and dramatic gold accessories and bantu up-do were a big heat for me. Its great to see someone boldly step out of the conventional.

Singer Lungisa Xhamela was dapper in his three-piece burgundy suit.

The real Award deserving winner of the night's show has to be Anel Bothac (middle). She gave us a memorable and fashionable event. Flanked by Melind Abam and  Leannie Dlamini, both gorgeous gals are wearing her designs.

African Beauty Queens at the event. It was one evening gown after another. Who knew the earth had this much Queens.

An up-close look of Boity's hair and flawless make up. Darn Boity, did you come to slay or did you come to slay?!

Designers Quiteria & George got Thando Thebete feeling all regal.

Bonang Matheba went on to win two awards from the night's award ceremony.

Jessica Nkosi won the award for favorite actress. I love her dress its so beautiful

Minnie Dlamini won the award for sexiest female. I agree, if you've seen her pool side pictures you would too.

Rapper AKA worked away with the most styish rapper award.

An Award winning kiss. The dynamic duo that is Bon-KA (i just made that up)

The ladies at the YOUspec posed fabulously in formation.

This was one hot Award Show, by far the best Africa has seen this year thus far (in the fashion/red carpet looks category). If there was any other one prior to this, this has wiped my slate clean. So many stunning fashionable ladies out here on the red carpet. It was almost blunder-free. These South African sisters dont joke with their fashion, clearly!

With recurring looks from designers Quiteria & George and Anel Bothac owning the night with multiple dresses, this event was the bomb. Now i cant wait for the 2017 You Spec Awards. Do i have a best dressed? I thought i would but there where so many stunning looks no one person can stand out as completely flawless for me. But if i had to choose, (with a gun to my head) my best looks would be from Bonang, Dineo,Amanda, Boity Melind Abam, Jessica Nkosi (see all of them looked great)...
Way to go ladies, thanks for inspiring us.

What do you think about all the looks from tonights award, did you love? Who had your best look? I'd love to hear from you so leave your thoughts down below.
