ON THE SCENE; THE 2016 ANNUAL BET AWARDS

Its Black Entertainment's most prestigious Award Show and its about to go down now. All our favorite celebrities are about to walk the red carpet in their designer ensembles, and with very high fashion expectations i am anxious to see what they will be wearing. Beyonce's team of Formation girls already took things to another level with their grand entrance. Without wasting further time, lets dive in and see what every one is wearing. come come!!!


African beauty Nandi Mngoma kicked things off on the blue carpet playing host duties for BET Africa. She looked simply stunning in a black and white sequence sheer peplum number from her up coming clothing line.

What would black entertainment be without the likes of Gabrielle Union. The Ebony beauty hit the red carpet looking pretty in a Marc Jacobs one-shoulder Burgundy pattern dress with a thigh-high slit. Such a beauty!!!

Flawless teenage beauty Yara Shahidi shimmered and sparkled in a sequin Tracy Reese dress. She is fastly becoming a fashionista.




Karrueche Tran arrived the Award show early looking beautiful with her sleek hugh bun. For the night, she opted for a black Fausto Puglisi front button down midi dress paired with some spiked gold Christian Louboutin heels.


We expect to see all the black beauty's out tonight, Megan Good was also in attendance. For the Award Show, she slid into a green cut-out Lorena Sarbu gown with a thigh high slit, anchored by some sparkly silver sandals, Nice!

 I expect to see more red dresses on the carpet tonight. Maria Schiavocampo slid into a one-shoulder BCBGMAXAZRIA gown accessorized with a gold choker. Nice!

These black Veterans are not playing with their sexiness at all. Inside the Awar Show, Taraji P. Henson hit the stage to present an award in a strapless leotard with a sheer black see-through skirt embellished with sequins

Rocsi Diaz was a fresh-faced beauty rocking an embroidered and embellished jumpsuit.

 Rapper French Montana kept it cool in shades of white and some lace up boots (They shouldn't be called lace-up if no one is gonna ever lace them up).


The Hostess with the Mostess. I've been waiting to see what she would be wearing on the carpet and i must say i like! Tracee Ellis Ross showed off her toned body in a python print straight dress by Mugler Official paired with some Neon-white Christian Louboutin pumps.

Anthony Anderson; The Black-ish star and co-host for tonight's event, looks clean-cut in this classic suit with gold accents.


Janelle Monae came rocking her signature black and white. She was pretty in a Sass and Bide sequence pant-suit with a boot-cut leg. She paired her outfit with a black fedora hat. I'm on the fence here...

Actress Mayte Garcia definitely is one of my best looks for the night, she looks so stunning! She slid into a red turtle-neck mermaid train floral number. That make up on her, simply perfect.

Morris Chestnut took things to the next level sporting a burgundy leather two-piece and some black shoes.

How flawless does Regina King look really? I guess she stopped aging, she attended the 2016 awards looking absolutely beautiful in a black cut-out sheer panels.

Lets take a minute to acknowledge how stunning Fantasia Barrino  looks in this dress. She is rocking a sheer embellished Diana Couture dress from designer Designer Diana Putri paired with some Guiseppe Zanotti heels.

Yvette Nicole Brown is bold and very beautiful in a black shirt and a ball Africa Ankara inspired ball skirt. Simple and stunning.

Letoya Luckett was "the" lady in red sporting a Mac Duggal  halter cut-out neckline gown with a thigh-high slit  paired with some strappy sandals. So pretty!!!

Akon kept things simple in black and grey. 

There is no denying how beautiful Mya looks in this yellow Christian Siriano flare crop top and matching pants. She completed her look with some nude heels. I love how pretty she looks.

Nigerian musician Falz, who has already snagged an Award for the 2016 show hit the red carpet for the live show looking clad in white and black shoes.

Loni Love of The Real was also in attendance at the Awards. She hit the blue carpet in a long sleeve print gown.   

 For her red carper hosting duties, Africa's number one "it" girl Bonang Matheba hit the red carpet looking good in a John Paul Taker Fall/Winter 2-16 emerald green suit anchored by some pretty nice heels.

 From one African beauty to another, Yemi Alade hit the red carpet looking true beautiful in a floral Zuhair Murad Gown. She stuck with her African Inspired Bantu Knots. me likey!


Quevenzhane Wallis kept it modest in a teal blue dress and some flats.

Whether in the City of in Beverly Hills, Ej Johnson knows how to strike a fierce pose and to show off his fashion.


Comedian Brandon T. Jackson hit the red carpet in an all white look with a gold lion embroidered t-shirt.

Tia Mowry-Hardrict flaunted her curves and her legs in a printed Roberto Cavalli turtleneck dress with fringed detailing. Okay girl we see you!

 Beyoncé’s protégés Chloe and Halle in coordinating fashion-forward looks.


 This picture doesn't do him justice but i love how fashion-forward Jermaine Dupri looks in his red sequin bomber jacket and white jeans.

 Fat Joe and his lady where also in attendance, he walked the red carpet in a snake skin print bomber jacket and sweatpants
DJ Khaled in a navy blue patterned tuxedo jacket and Gucci loafers. 

 I cant see his 2 Chainz but i can see his bomb-ass Gucci embroidered shearling  jacket and i love. Thoughts on the rapper's new hair?

Alicia Keys continured her fresh-faced movement. She hit the blue carpet looking chic in a black silk Stella McCartney jumpsuit and silver heels to match her head-wrap.


Eva Marcielle showed off her legs in this floral embroidered mini dress.

Dear Remy Ma, you are not going to make your come back to the fashion scene's if you keep dressing like this.

 Julissa Bermudez's looked cute in a one -shoulder print mini dress paired with some strappy sandals.

A lot of African-inspired fabric on the carpet tonight, Tasha Smith showed off her long locs in a yellow print jumpsuit.

Always a hottie Bryshere Y. Gray in black trousers and a white tuxedo jacket. How cool are his patent loafers though?

i am a fan of Aja Naomi King, but not quite sure if i am feeling her in this ruffled turquoise dress pared with gold heels.

A Balmain Black and White Long Sleeve Harlequin Print Mini Dress was on the agenda for Jasmine Sanders.

Blackish actor Marcus Scribner was dapper in a blue suit, given some flair with a printed navy button-front shirt underneath.

Star of the hit TV show Power Naturi Naughton’s was also in attendance, for the night, she spotted a Nina Ricci lace LBD paired with some black strappy heels. I would have preferred a different hair style on her, i think this fringe high-bun does her no justice.

Singer-songwriter Andra Day shines in this orange-sequined gown with a floral sash paired with purple pumps and a bold red lip.

Big night for Samuel L. Jackson, he will be honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award. Before making his way into the Award Ceremony, the legendary actor walked the carpet looking classy as ever in a tailored suit.


Thank God for Black Entertainment Television and for making its actors wax stronger in the game. Who had your best look of the night?
