Hey love bugs! In light of the just concluded MET Gala,  i have decided to do a countdown of my top five looks from fashion icon Sarah Jessica Parker. Before i go ahead to start this countdown, let me clear up this unnecessary mist in the air. How does anyone in their sane mind not worship SJP or think i would be bold enough to come for her fashion status!!! I mean she is the talent behind Carrie Bradshaw's existence and every woman's dream bestie.

Sarah Jessica Parker solidified her status as a fashion icon a long time ago, when she first introduced the world to Carrie Bradshaw and her timeless closet. I mean everyone would die just to raid Carrie's closet because it was pure fashion perfection and every woman's dream (especially mine). Outside the movie world and being Carrie Bradshaw, SJP never fell short of being an impeccable fashionista with her own unique and intriguing sense of style. From red carpet ensemble's to her street style, Sarah Jessica Parker continues to push the envelop and she does it with absolute eloquence and grace.

Fast forward to the 2016 Met Gala, which took place on Monday the 2nd, the fashion Icon stepped out to celebrate the exhibition; Manus X Machina; Fashion in an age of Technology. sporting a suit by designer Monse. I thought it was a very unusual choice, especially coming from the queen of the Met Gala. At first sight, there was nothing tech or futuristic about this pants and duster combination which looked more casual than couture. (Although i wont mind those shoes in the future) so it was easy to assume she wasn't going with the theme of the event or maybe she just finally felt like passing the torch of ruling the red carpet at the MET's. SJP along side so many of her fans didn't find my thoughts funny but, it is 2016 and we are all entitled to our candid opinions. Nobody had to put out a detailed explanation of their outfit choice for public understanding, so she doesn't get a pass.
Still, i love and adore her...So, lets move on with the countdown; Here are my top five SJP MET Gala Looks of all time.

Simple and sweet and at the same time edgy, Sarah Jessica Parker stepped out at her first MET Gala in 2006 dolled up in  lace and tartan number.

2010 marked the beginning of statement head-pieces for the fashionista as she stepped out gracefully in a champagne number by Halston Heritage.

For the 2015 Met Gala, Sarah Jessica Parker was a show-stopper in Phillip Tracey/H&M. That head-piece would certainly never be forgotten in fashion history.

This was the ultimate entrance, i couldn't even forget it even if i tried. For the 2014 Met Gala, SJP slid into the most perfect Oscar de la Renta number and ruled the red carpet.

For the 2014 Met's SJP was Couture Punk in Giles. Sporting a faux mo-hawk inspired headpiece, SJP ruled the red carpet and was a perfect embodiment of the PUNK; Chaos to Couture theme. This is my ultimate favorite.

You would agree with me those are pretty awesome memories right? 2016 might not have been my favorite but i am cringing to see what she wears at the 2017 Met Gala and i hope this time, the theme is less complicated. Be Inspired!
